The Barolo Group Introduces new Concept,
Chow Morso Osteria, to Downtown Denver,
Union Station Neighborhood

Ryan Fletter and executive chef Darrel Truett bring a new casual, family-friendly Italian restaurant to the vacated Squeaky Bean space on 15th and Wynkoop

DENVER (March 26, 2018) – The Barolo Group—Owners of the Barolo Grill and Chow Morso (at Avanti Food & Beverage)—are bringing a new Italian concept to Denverites in the vacated Lodo Squeaky Bean location (1500 Wynkoop St.). Chow Morso Osteria will carry elements from The Barolo Group’s other restaurants into the new location. The new Italian eatery will be more casual than Barolo Grill yet with a broader menu than what is offered at Chow Morso (at Avanti F&B). Chow Morso Osteria will have a full-service bar and Italian beverage program with a wide selection of affordable wines. The new concept is slated to open in summer 2018.

Chow Morso Osteria will offer guests daily fresh made pastas for dishes such as linguini and clams, bolognese, and mushroom tagliatelle. The menu will also feature an assortment of salads, appetizers and signature Italian desserts. During lunch service, Chow Morso Osteria will also serve piadinas - Italian flatbread sandwiches. Nestled within the renovated Saddlery building (on the corner of 15th + Wynkoop) the atmosphere will be a blend of exposed brick with high ceilings with a slightly modern Italian decor to give a more casual and family-friendly feel.

“Chow Morso Osteria offers guests a full-service experience between fine dining and fast casual,” said Ryan Fletter, founder of the Barolo Group. “With the culinary prowess of the award-winning Barolo Grill team and the creative Italian street food at Chow Morso, we’re excited to bring guests a new concept that combines the best of both worlds. Chow Morso Osteria will offer guests the same high-quality experience that the team from Barolo Grill is accustomed to providing, inspired by their annual trips to Italy, but at a more affordable price point in the bustling Union Station neighborhood.”

Darrel Truett will lead the kitchen as the Culinary Executive Director and will split his time between Chow Morso Osteria and Barolo Grill. Ryan Fletter will curate a selection of affordable, great value wines. The restaurant will be open lunch and dinner, specific days and times to be announced.
